America: The New Axis Power?
With Russian dictator Putin’s invasion of Ukraine two years ago under the same false pretenses Adolf Hitler used to start what ultimately exploded into global conflict, we find ourselves experiencing disturbing deja-vu.
As we hear more daily examples of Donald Trump channeling Adolf Hitler, and threats of the United States sliding into fascism should Trump win re-election in November become more obvious, we need to ask the question: Could America become an Axis power?
Trump’s repudiation of NATO is nothing new; he spent his entire four years as president as a mouthpiece for Putin’s ultimate wish to destroy the international alliance preventing him from re-creating the Soviet Union.
Even as the for-profit corporate media is working overtime trying convince us President Joe Biden’s age is the most pressing issue facing the country, we should care about the consequences of even just suggesting to an adversary that we, the United States of America, would not only step aside, but “encourage” (Trump’s word) a Russian invasion of Europe if the nations comprising NATO didn’t pay up. (Pretty rich for a guy notorious for not paying up himself.)
